Community Engagement (CE) Program Coordinators are primarily responsible for teaching CE Programs in Chicago Public Schools, including Bridge, Dance Exploration, and Middle School Dance Programs. They are also responsible for administrative duties associated with the programs. This specific CE Program Coordinator is responsible for teaching the in-tower Extensions Program and at the South Loop location on Saturdays from September through June, along with the administrative duties associated with the Extensions Program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Include but are not limited to the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.Teach all Community Engagement Signature Programs: Bridge, Dance Exploration, Middle School Dance Club in Chicago Public Schools.Lead the Joffrey Tower Extensions program, a free program for in-school students 3rd-8th grade to continue developing their dance skills in a studio setting.Coordinate all Extensions program-related activities at Joffrey Tower and secure off-site location, volunteers, and faculty for the program’s Summer Intensive.Schedule performances, field trips, and any development opportunities for students in the Extensions program. Correspond with parents and any Joffrey administrative staff for Extensions program.Travel throughout the city to teach Joffrey Signature programs in Chicago Public Schools.Teach a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Latin, Modern, and Hip Hop. Must have strong background in ballet for Extensions and Bridge Programs. Must have extensive experience in working with and mentoring children in a public-school setting. Strong interest in dance education is required. Strong communication and organizational skills. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Professional manner, self-motivated, proven ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to clear all CPS background check requirements.
