    Organizational OverviewThe Citizen Science Lab is a non-profit hands-on laboratory where inquisitive minds and science enthusiasts can explore the life sciences. We are open to everyone to observe and analyze through discovery-based STEM enrichment. The CSL serves the Pittsburgh region with extracurricular enrichment support via homeschool and weekend workshops, after school programs, summer camps, lab memberships, birthday parties, special initiatives to advance the interest of the underserved communities in STEM. Volunteer Position Overview:Volunteers can fulfil a wide variety of tasks at the Lab, mainly focused on two different areas: Laboratory and Education. You may volunteer in both areas, or you may volunteer in one area. You may also be cross-trained into one area or another depending on personal interest. Descriptions are provided merely to give more details.Education:The Citizen Science Lab offers a wide range of educational opportunities for youth in Pittsburgh. Duties may require research and assistance with project management and development. This position may also perform literature searches, compile scientific data, perform data analysis and reduction, and write reports and presentations.
