Design for good! Join Bridgeood for a hands-on hackathon empowering students & creatives through tech, design, innovation, and social impact.

​Hosted by Mubarak Haruna and Alexander Au, BRIDGEGOOD’s Cybersecurity + AI for Social Good program is designed to educate individuals from underrepresented backgrounds with little to no prior experience in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. By providing foundational knowledge, hands-on training, and access to in-person resources, the program aims to cultivate a new generation of diverse innovators. Focused on protecting vulnerable communities, fostering equity, and driving new solutions, BRIDGEGOOD aims to create a more secure and inclusive future.

The Digital Media Studio / MakerSpace (LIB 260) is presenting VR/XR & Retro Game Thursday. Experience virtual reality and spatial computing. There are a variety of VR experiences for art, geography, games, anatomy, and much more. We have a special presentation of an SFSU student-developed Vision Pro application, including an opportunity to test the application on the Vision Pro. This event is open to all SFSU students, faculty, and staff. Visit the Digital Media Studio / MakerSpace anytime between 3:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, May 8th.

San Francisco has always been a city of dreams and ideas, but today, it needs reconnection. InVision SF uses Apple Vision Pro’s spatial computing to invite users back into the heart of the city—virtually exploring its neighbourhoods, events, and culture through intuitive gestures and AI-driven personalization.

Developed by our team in collaboration with San Francisco State University faculty and supported by the Mayor’s Office and Port of San Francisco, InVision SF is more than an app. It’s an immersive experience designed to bridge technology and community, revitalizing local engagement and reimagining how we interact with the places that matter.

ChatGPT and other emerging AI tools are quickly evolving and are soon to become vital in professional and personal environments. Come learn about types of AI, the ethics surrounding it, and AI tools you may have already encountered. We will also discuss appropriate usage of Generative AI and introduce the "stoplight" method to help you navigate this emerging technology.

This workshop will show you how to successfully communicate your research skills and experiences to put together a professional resume & cover letter that will spark an employer’s interest. You will learn tips on highlighting your research qualifications, education and experiences relevant to your job/internship/graduate school objective.

We will be offering this workshop in conjunction with Career Services.

We will provide free lunch for all participating students.
